Despite research indicating that strength training is not only safe but desirable for young people many parents are concerned about their children training with weights. That concern increases if the child is exposed to powerlifting through an older relative or maybe a CrossFit gym event. I talked to top ten Super Heavyweight, James “Pit Bull” Searcy about his opinion on the issue as both an athlete with thirty-six years in the sport and a coach to younger athletes.
