Moose Jaw's Rhaea Stinn had a spectacular day last week at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships in Richmond, B.C., setting a new Open Classic World Record.
The local powerlifter had planned on attempting the world record squat at two previous events, but an injury prevented that from happening. With no injuries this time around, Stinn was able to accomplish her goal, completing the 187-kilogram squat to set the mark.
